Privacy and identity.

You decide what to share. Access without a SafePath account does not guarantee anonymity.

Reading the website

The current SafePath pages do not ask for a name or account, submit an identity record, or set cookies or browser storage through their page code. The entrance checkbox acknowledges the audience and content; it does not verify your identity.

Website hosts, web servers and network providers may process connection information, including an IP address. Do not assume that browsing leaves no record. Exact server-log retention and administrator access have not yet been verified for this notice.

Using the responder chat room

The chat room opens on tlk.io, a separate provider. A nickname is not proof of anonymity. Its provider may process connection information, and messages may be visible to other participants. SafePath does not guarantee confidentiality, deletion, continuous moderation or an immediate response in that room.

Avoid identifying yourself, patients, colleagues or incidents. You can leave without explaining why.

Listening through Spotify

The music player is not loaded when you open the responder page. Choosing “Load player here” connects your browser to Spotify, which may process connection information and use cookies or account information under its own privacy rules. “Listen on Spotify” opens Spotify directly. Closing the player removes it from this page; it does not erase information already received by Spotify.

Calling, texting or emailing

Calls and texts may reveal your phone number. Email reveals your email address and the information you include. For Initiative information, email contact@safepathinitiative.com. For website issues, broken resources or technical questions, email admin@safepathinitiative.com. Share only what is necessary. Neither inbox is a crisis response channel.

External services have their own privacy rules and safety obligations. Read 988’s confidentiality information and what to expect from 988 before deciding what to share.

Your device and connection

History, bookmarks and synced browser accounts may reveal pages you visited to others who use your device or account. A VPN provider you trust may help mask your IP address from the destination, but cannot guarantee anonymity or hide information you choose to share. Its provider may see connection information. A VPN is optional.

Questions about privacy

Ask SafePath about website privacy. Do not send identifying incident details or confidential records with a general inquiry.
